Seedream 5.5 Release Date and API Availability
This page tracks the Seedream 5.5 release. Our online generator currently supports Seedream 5.0 Pro, Lite and Flash.
We’ll update this page when we can confirm the provider model, run a test generation and publish the credit cost.
What ByteDance has confirmed
The official Seedream 5.5 page lists native transparent (RGBA) output, clean edits across 80+ rounds, more realistic results and much more accurate text in 15+ languages. Its multilingual text score is published as 4.53 against 3.34 for the previous model.
Those are ByteDance's published figures, not our measurements. We have not run 5.5 here and do not present official previews as our own samples.
Where Seedream 5.5 works today

- Official model pages — documentation and previews, not a generation API.
- This site — not yet. We currently serve Seedream 5.0 Pro, Lite and Flash.
